Over the last ten days or so the oracula has been experiencing technical difficulties. I've moved the site and all its support programs from one hand-me-down computer to another, increasing the webserver's speed and capacity significantly. I've also switched the server from Redhat Linux to Gentoo Linux. I'm pleased with the results though the move was a greater ordeal than I had anticipated.
Though I tested what I thought was everything offline, I could only do so in short intervals, an hour here and an hour there. Adding this intermittentent schedule to my own ignorance meant that much was overlooked. As a result, the oracula was completely unavailable most of 20030617, and wingmail was not delivered for the next couple of days.
Nearly everything is fixed now, I hope. If you find a bug, please <a href="mailto:artwells@oracula.org">e-mail me</a> with as much information about it as possible.
With this technical hurdle mostly out of the way, I hope to begin work on a new oracle to complement <a href="http://www.oracula.org/newwings/">newwings</a> and <a href="http://www.oracula.org/oracula/wingmail.html">wingmail</a>.
